Extend intelligent picking across more of the warehouse

The Ocado IQ App extends system-directed work beyond direct AMR handling, guiding associates through specialist tasks with existing material-handling equipment and helping operations scale capacity for temporary demand peaks

Part of Ocado Mobile Robot Solutions, the Ocado IQ App delivers system-directed work to associates on handheld devices. It complements Chuck and Porter AMRs by guiding tasks that require people or specialist material-handling equipment, keeping more products, locations and workflows connected to the same orchestrated operation.

One system. Full coverage. No manual workarounds.

Keep more work connected to your mobile robotics operation

Not every product, location or task is best served directly by an AMR. Bulky goods, awkward SKUs, high storage locations, narrow aisles and certain loads may require an associate using a forklift, cherry picker, pallet jack or trolley.

The Ocado IQ App provides the next location, product and action on a handheld device while associates use the equipment best suited to the task. Picking, putaway, pick-and-pass and exception workflows remain visible to Ocado IQ and coordinated with the wider order.

Build more flexibility into your mobile robotics operation

Extend guided work to existing equipment

Direct associates using forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks and trolleys, bringing system-directed execution to products and locations that require specialist handling

Support productive case picking with Porter

Use handheld guidance alongside Porter AMR to direct associates through case-picking workflows while Porter handles pallet and cage movement

Keep guidance with the associate around Chuck

Mirror Chuck’s display on a handheld device, making guidance accessible in narrow aisles, high locations and other working positions where the robot interface may be less convenient. The App can pair with the nearest priority robot, allowing associates to move between AMRs while the robots carry the loads and helping maintain continuity across tasks and handoffs

Scale for temporary peaks without adding more robots

Extend guided picking to additional associates when demand rises, creating temporary capacity without increasing the size of the robot fleet

Keep every workflow coordinated through Ocado IQ

The Ocado IQ App is the handheld interface to Ocado IQ, which prioritizes and assigns work across Chuck AMR, Porter AMR and guided associate workflows. The App delivers that direction to the person completing each task, keeping AMR-assisted and specialist workflows connected through the same intelligent layer.

Because every interface operates within the same task environment, order logic remains intact as work moves between AMRs, handheld devices and approved material-handling equipment. The Bridge gives supervisors visibility of robots, tasks, queues and workloads through one management dashboard.

Configure handheld guidance around your operation

Deployment begins with the products, locations and workflows that require manual or robot-assisted handling. Ocado assesses the task instructions, existing equipment, device suitability, Wi-Fi coverage and system connections needed to keep that work coordinated with the AMR fleet.

The App requires a Wi-Fi-enabled Android handheld with a screen of at least five inches. Ocado confirms the supported devices and workflow configuration for each deployment. The App directs the work; associates remain responsible for operating handling equipment and managing products safely.

Match each workflow with the right solution

Ocado Mobile Robot Solutions combine different ways to execute work across the warehouse. Chuck AMR carries orders and guides associates through collaborative picking. Porter AMR automates pallet and cage transport and supports heavier picking workflows. The Ocado IQ App complements both AMRs by extending task direction to associates using handheld devices and approved handling equipment.

Together, these capabilities allow the operation to apply the right combination of robots, interfaces and human judgment to each workflow, all coordinated by Ocado IQ.
